No Man Is A Fortress

No Man Is A Fortress

No man is a fortress, unable to be hurt;
Every man has feelings, fears to be played upon.
If the one they love were to, unintentionally or not,
insult or humiliate them, it would be painful beyond belief.
A mans emotions empower him,
because a man that harnesses his emotions well,
will one day find his love.
For who knows who this mans love is,
Maybe it is you.

Friendship

We all have demons we must face.
Many of these can be delt with alone.
But others are far to strong, far too powerful to face by one's self.
What these demons don't know, what these demons can't fathom, is that we never have to face them alone.
We are never alone to face them.
I don't speak of God.
I don't speak of the Universe.
I speak of something more powerful.
Friendship.

I Hear America Crying

I hear America crying, the taste of bitter tears on her cheek,
as her sons and daughters are dying in a war half-way across the world.
i hear americas families sobbing, working class and privilaged,
mothers and fathers, wives and husbangs, swallowing their grief as taps is
played, then played again, and again, and again.
i yearn to comfort them but i know there is nothing that can be said.
i see americas bravery, her sons and daughters, of all colors and faiths
through her soldiers proud sacrifice in their second tour, then their third, now their fourth...
i wonder where is the bravery to stop this mindless violence?
i sence america wondering"will this nightmare ever end?"
